Jury Chair Prize: Code My Crown

Edelman’s emergence as an annual strong player at Cresta has been topped this year with not only a Grand Prix, along with other multiple trophies, but selection for one of the Jury Chair’s two special awards.

Yasu Sasaki thought long and hard on his Jury Chair selection from the winners, his special picks inviting viewers to give extra study to these two entries to appreciate heir innovation and craft.

In choosing Code My Crown by Edelman for Dove, which challenged the lack of diversity in computer games, enabling the creation and celebration of Black Hair within games, Sasaki commented: ‘It is wonderful that they are not only raising awareness about DEI in gaming, but also developing solutions and distributing them as open source so that they can be used widely in society.’
