It just has to be Riff Raff Films
While the world may seem a little uncertain in some parts, at Cresta 2025 the story was one of considerable consistency. With the Production Company of the Year award, the carefully crafted grip of industry leadership was once again on display from Riff Raff Films of London as they took the title for the third year in a row.
Behind this year’s success was a rich haul of winners with two films standing out in particular: the beautiful animated spot Wherever We Go, created for Telstra in Australia with the agency Bear Meets Eagle on Fire, and also The Gifting Hour for John Lewis, created with agency Saatchi & Saatchi London.
Riff Raff Films was also the production company involved with the award-laden film Obsession, created for Riyadh Season and entered by independent agency of the year, BigTime Creative Shop.
Matthew Fone, Owner/CEO of Riff Raff Films, said: "It’s more than humbling to be awarded production company of the year (again) especially when you are judged by some of the most experienced and successful creatives around the world."
“It becomes even more special and prestigious when you realise that some of the creatives judge year in, year out, so the awards give a consistency over time that hold the level to the highest standards of creativity and are not swayed by trends or the latest new thing. Wow.”
Cresta jurors are not informed, when judging, of who has entered a work or which agency, production company, etc. is involved. They are not reminded of the past history of the Of The Year awards. So each year’s success is a fresh achievement, effectively starting from a blank slate, for every winner.
