The pandemic has been extremely tough for the travel industry, including cruise and ferry lines like Fjord Line – one of the biggest of its sort in Scandinavia. Why not meet the tough times with some non-covid-themed, light-hearted humor? Instead of going the serious route with their TVC, Fjord Line went the complete opposite way. A little comic relief wouldn’t hurt, would it?

Fjord Line’s brand, new high-speed catamaran Fjord FSTR takes you from Norway to Denmark super-fast – in only 2 hours and 15 minutes to be exact. This state-of-the-art ferry is probably the best and fastest way to get you between Norway and Denmark. There are only great things to say about Fjord FSTR. Well, there’s one bad thing: Your magic, romantic Titanic-moment might get messed up. Ever since Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet went out on the bow of the ship in that iconic Titanic-scene, couples on boats, ships and ferries have envisioned themselves in that scene. But expectations and reality doesn’t always match as the average Joe and plain Jane in this spot found out.

The premise of the idea is quite simple: What if the Titanic scene, one of the most iconic movie scenes of all time, took place on Fjord Line’s new, super-fast, high speed catamaran Fjord FSTR? When you're perched on the bow like Leo and Kate, your kiss is likely to get a little flappy. It might not be as romantic, but what this TVC lacks in romance, it more than makes up for in humor.

On the time of writing, we still wait for the travel industry to go back to normal, but every day that goes by, we get closer to the day we can travel freely again. Until then, you know what they say: “Laughter is an instant vacation." Sea you soon!
