In 2014, one billion dollars vanished from 3 banks from Moldova. After 5 yrs, the investigation had made no progress. Instead, the debt became public. Every citizen has to return the billion until 2041, but people started to forget. For TV8 & Cutia Neagra, we launched the first ever Billion Dollar Banknote, on which we illustrated the fraud operation through visual metaphors. 5000 banknotes were handed to the citizens, international media, ambassadors, Parliament officials, Prime Minister & President. Ultimately, the General Prosecutor hired a new committee to return the stolen billion. |
