Notes: With the creation of the direct insurer Allianz Direct, the Allianz Direct group has reinvented itself from a conventional insurer to a customer-oriented and innovative start-up company.

But everybody knows the Allianz Group as a conservative company, which makes an image change difficult.

Therefore, they wanted a campaign that communicates this ground-breaking change quickly and effectively.

To achieve those ambitious goals, the high KPI of 100,000,000 online views was set.

So, we wanted to create a campaign that ensures the most attention possible and gives Allianz Direct a tangible and likeable new face:

First, we staged a spectacular accident, which then we leaked as surveillance camera footage without branding on the internet on YouTube and Reddit.

Two weeks later, we resolved who was behind it by introducing the embodiment of Allianz Direct: Wil & Carl. In various still images from the surveillance camera footage, they interacted with the damage that had occurred.

In three subsequent episodes, they addressed a specific problem of single customers, which they then solved in a customer-oriented and innovative manner.

The result: Within just two months, the 100,000,000 online views were reached and the image change was successfully achieved in only one single campaign.
