Jim likes doing work that people outside of advertising would care about. Work that shapes culture, makes headlines and turns around businesses. He was ranked one of the No. 1 Creative Directors in World Creative Rankings 2019, No 3 in 2021, and No. 3 in 2022. Work he has created with ambitious clients, collaborated on with brilliant people or led has won three D&AD Black Pencils including Black Pencil of the decade, three consecutive Titanium Lions and six Grand Prix at Cannes. It’s not just about the work, work, work. Jim loves any chance to nurture potential and started a creative academy Hatch at AMV BBDO to draw in a more diverse talent pool. This was recognised by Management Today, which named him alongside FTSE 100 CEOs as 'Agents of Change' for workplace equality. He has helped out at the School of Communication Arts and talked at JOLT academy. Before AMV BBDO his career including being a Creative Director at W&K London, producing Honda ’Spark’ and Nike work for the London Olympics. Before that he worked at BBH London, creating the award-winning Barnardo’s ‘Turn Around’ campaign, Levis ‘Bike’ and Audi ‘Gymnasts’. Outside advertising, he mostly runs around after his two girls.
