Sudesh is an artist and a serial entrepreneur with over two decades of experience. In 1999, he started Webchutney, India’s leading digital agency, as its co-founder and Chief Creative Officer. Ranked as India’s #1 digital agency for eight years by the Economic Times & Brand Equity, Webchutney today employs over 250 professionals across Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Some of its clients include companies like Flipkart, Airtel, Tata Sons, Uber, WeWork, Google Pay and Swiggy among others. Under his leadership, it was the most awarded Indian agency at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in 2019. In 2008, he incubated Network Play under Webchutney, which, in less than three years, became the largest brand ad-network. This was later acquired by Bertelsmann AG, marking their entry into India. The network yielded 15x returns to the company and its shareholders in 3 years on the original investment. In 2013, Webchutney was acquired by Dentsu Aegis Network, one of the largest global agency networks which led to one of the biggest investor and shareholder exits in the Indian advertising industry. Sudesh has won over 200 awards, including six Lions at Cannes in 2019. He has served on the jury at celebrated advertising festivals in India and around the globe. Having now exited from his founding company, he is an active angel investor and advisor to startups looking to build at scale in India.
